Mark joined BioTeam in 2015 and works on intellectual property matters, licensing, open source, and general legal matters. Mark also works on implementation of project, ERP and other company systems.
Mark is an avid cyclist participating in events ranging from races to endurance events to mountain touring. Mark races for the Old School Industries race team in Colorado and a member of the team’s Board of Directors.
Mark is one of the hosts of the FOSS+Beer podcast, a light hearted show about open-source legal topics, using open source software and Colorado craft beer.
Mark is the founder of the Open Source Law Tools Project (oslawtools.org) – a project advocating the use of open source solutions for legal work.
Mark has advised technology clients on intellectual property, transactional and litigation matters for over 20 years and has designed and implemented legal and knowledge management systems throughout his career. Mark is a LEAN/Six Sigma Green Belt.
Mark has a BS in Accounting from the University of Arizona, and a JD from The College of William & Mary.
Mark is a member of the Board of Directors and an Officer of the Colorado Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel, and a member of several international open-source legal working groups.
