Bio:
Markus Dittrich is a Fellow at BioTeam and brings over 20 years of experience in organizational leadership and transformation, technology vision, computational science, and software and infrastructure development. Dr. Dittrich has experience managing large-scale, complex scientific organizations and computing environments serving a nationwide, diverse set of users. Prior to joining BioTeam, Markus was the Director of the Biomedical Applications Group at the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center and PI of a computational neuroscience research lab. At BioTeam, Markus focuses on a broad range of projects spanning scientific and IT assessments, science-forward organizational transformations, HPC infrastructure design and deployment, research IT strategy development, software development and optimization, and training.
