Four FTRs and Counting…

BioTeam now has four offerings on the AWS Marketplace, each validated through the AWS Foundational Technical Review (FTR) process.

BioTeam has been working with AWS since 2007, when the platform was still in beta. That history runs deep. Over nearly two decades, we have built, migrated, and optimized scientific computing environments for pharma, biotech, federal research, and academic medical centers on AWS. We have published case studies across every area represented by these Marketplace offerings, including HPC migration and multi-omics architecture, genomic data management, and research pipeline modernization. These listings formalize what we have been doing for years.

FTR is a structured review against AWS expectations for architecture, security, and operational readiness. Each listing had to meet those standards before going live. For organizations evaluating consulting partners, FTR validation is a signal that the work behind each offering has been built and reviewed to production-grade standards.

Here is what is available on BioTeam’s AWS Marketplace today

HPC Migration and Modernization for Scientific Research Environments

BioTeam delivers scalable and secure HPC environments on AWS, starting with best-practice account structures (logging, security, governance) and then integrating research workflows with services like AWS ParallelCluster, Amazon FSx for Lustre, and SageMaker. Everything is built with infrastructure as code, so environments are reproducible, manageable, and ready to grow with the organization. This offering is designed for research institutions migrating on-premises HPC or modernizing existing cloud environments with minimal disruption.

Multi-Omics Research Architecture for Integrated Tertiary Analysis

This offering addresses one of the most common pain points in research computing: fragmented data across genomics, proteomics, and other omics types. BioTeam designs and implements petabyte-scale data lakes on AWS, integrating optimized transformation pipelines (AWS Glue), interactive analysis environments (SageMaker, Jupyter, Amazon Athena), and HPC compute via AWS HealthOmics, Batch, and ParallelCluster. The goal is a unified, reproducible research environment that follows FAIR-aligned practices and scales with evolving datasets.

Data Migration and Storage Built for Cloud-Optimized Genomic Workflows

Moving large-scale genomic and clinical data to the cloud is a nontrivial problem. BioTeam helps organizations plan and execute secure transfers, then architect tiered storage strategies using services like Amazon S3 and AWS HealthOmics Storage to balance cost, accessibility, and compliance. This is the foundational layer that everything else runs on.

Migrate and Optimize Research Pipelines in the Cloud

BioTeam helps research organizations modernize their analysis workflows by building scalable, automated pipelines on platforms like AWS HealthOmics and AWS Batch. These cloud-optimized pipelines enable elastic compute scaling, integrated data provenance, and reproducible execution across diverse workloads. For teams still running pipelines on local infrastructure or managing brittle scripts, this is the path to production-grade automation.

All four offerings are available on the BioTeam AWS Marketplace page.

We work across cloud platforms and recommend the solution that best fits. For many life sciences organizations, that is AWS. These Marketplace listings make it easier to engage with us through your existing AWS procurement channels.

If any of these areas overlap with challenges your organization is facing, we would love to hear from you. Get in touch with BioTeam to start a conversation.
