Allie Fowler is a Senior Scientific Consultant at BioTeam who helps scientific organizations modernize their hybrid high-performance computing infrastructure and strengthen their security and compliance posture. Before joining BioTeam, Allie architected extreme-scale hybrid cloud diagnostic whole-genome pipelines and led grid-computing and parallel-storage migration projects at multiple global life sciences organizations.

Background
Allie comes from a healthcare background where she architected and built custom extreme-scale cloud diagnostic pipelines for the organization’s flagship Whole Genome Sequencing product.
Before that, she led a variety of HPC projects at two global life sciences corporations involving grid computing, parallel storage, cloud cluster architecture, and cluster migration. She was also instrumental in projects for global stock exchanges and government, as well as leading a support team at a university Academic Computing Lab.
Personal Interests:
When she’s not modernizing infrastructure, Allie builds things at a smaller scale: amphibian ponds, pollinator gardens, and native habitats for creatures that never file a Jira ticket. She also trains in martial Wudang Taiji, which comes in handy during change management.
