Director of Sales and Business Development
Responsible for all sales and business development activities at BioTeam. I work closely with BioTeam’s consulting team on all new engagements ensuring that all aspects of the relationship are met. I work closely with our contracts team to ensure all NDA/CDA and MSA documents are processed in a timely manner. Additionally, I work closely with our customers to ensure all communications are responded to. My goal is to achieve the highest level of customer delight when working with BioTeam.
I have spent time mentoring young adults as they begin to enter the workforce after completing their undergrad or graduate programs. It is especially gratifying to help them pursue their dreams or create new opportunities for themselves.
Play competitive tennis and have been the USTA League Nationals twice. In 2016 I will be entering my 20th baseball season in Over Thirty Baseball. On of my greatest thrills was to play at the spring training facilities in AZ including in Tempe Diablo Stadium, home of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
Tom began his career spending 18 years with Apple and 4 years with Dell in a variety of roles, both technical and sales. He managed a $40M region for enterprise sales at Dell, as well as a $30M account set in Education at Apple. In 2002, upon his return to Apple, he was responsible for the US Northeast Territory driving $16M in enterprise technology sales into the world of HPC and beyond. This is when he first encountered BioTeam and iNquiry. Tom, also, sat on a number committees at Apple for Research Computing. He was instrumental in developing Apple’s field and inside sales team throughout the country. While at Dell and working on some of the first groundbreaking implementations of HPC in the late 90s, he was awarded Dell’s Employee of the Year for Advanced Systems.
Prior to joining BioTeam, Tom had his own small business consulting company. This is where he re-engaged with BioTeam helping them to grow the business. Tom officially joined BioTeam in 2015.
