Having joined BioTeam in 2021, Jordan uses his previous experience as a bioinformatician in the Hubbard Center for Genome Studies to enable scientific research through providing IT and computing assistance. He also pursues practical applications of machine learning and data visualization for use in the biological sciences
Jordan is an avid gamer and lover of fantasy and science fiction novels. He has a passion for education, having previously worked as a tutor for topics ranging from genetics to machine learning. In his spare time, Jordan is an amateur geometer who enjoys studying new methods for functional analysis.
Jordan has a Master’s in Computer Science, and a bachelor’s in Genomics, from the University of New Hampshire. His interest in bioinformatics and pursuit for both degrees was inspired by his work while in the Hubbard Center for Genome Studies. Jordan later researched the use of machine learning algorithms in addressing problems in data science and information retrieval while pursuing his CS degree under the direction of Dr. Laura Dietz.
