Anna is on a mission to help the scientific community make the most out of their data. Trained in human genetics and neurodegeneration of rare disease, she transitioned to working on agricultural data challenges and joined BioTeam in 2021. Since joining, she is focused on advancing the mission of BioTeam to empower science, scientists, and accelerate their ability to innovate.

Anna has a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the Institute of Medical Genetics and Applied Genomics at the University of Tübingen in Germany where she worked on nuclear transport and animal models of rare neurodegenerative disorders (Spinocerebellar ataxia type 3). She did her post-doctoral work in the intersection of neuroscience and immunity at the University of Hohenheim. As she developed her interest in making efficient use of scientific data, she worked as part of teams developing and deploying machine learning technologies across various -omics sectors as part of an overarching goal of helping scientists and scientific teams make data-driven decisions with ease. Anna believes in the importance of impact and connection in the way that our world approaches scientific challenges and each other.
