Sam received his B.S. in Biotechnology and M.S. in Intelligent Systems Engineering from Indiana University Bloomington. At IU, Sam’s research focused on bio-scaffold development for tissue regeneration in the zebrafish animal model, development of microfluidic platforms for rapid and uniform formation of patient-derived 3D Organoids, as well as development of multi-scale multi-cellular computational modeling frameworks to validate research efforts in biology. His studies, based in bioengineering, encased a variety of fields including biomedical device development, genomics, gene therapy, machine learning, toxicology, and tissue engineering.
Sam was a captain of the Men’s Lacrosse Team at IU. Since then, he enjoys giving back to his community through coaching local lacrosse teams. In his free time, Sam enjoys playing tennis, basketball &, golf.
