BioTeam is not affiliated or aligned with any hardware vendor or manufacturer. By not selling, re-selling or engaging in commission earning activities we retain our independence and always act in the best interest of our client.

Our vendor and technology agnostic operating philosophy allows us to offer unbiased assistance in purchase-related activities. Our deep knowledge of life science application and workflow requirements allows us to properly size and configure compute, storage, backup and network systems.

A major benefit of having the BioTeam assist with purchase related activities is our ability to identify inappropriate recommendations made by vendors who do not understand the life science informatics field or may be trying to take advantage of people with limited IT experience. Over the years we have identified many hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of inappropriate or 'padded' items itemized on vendor proposals.

BioTeam can:

• Assist with system sizing, scaling and configuration
• Construct an appropriate bill of materials or 'shopping list' for clients
• Review existing pre-purchase bills of material for suitability and capability
• Recommend vendors, technologies and products to clients if needed
• Author or assist with creation of Request for Information ('RFI) documents
• Author or assist with creation of Request for Proposal ('RFP) documents
• Review, critique and comment upon RFI or RFP documents received from vendors
• Act as a subject matter expert ('SME') resource for contracts and purchasing officers handling large capital purchase projects
